Summer Safety Tips – Signs of Heatstroke

It’s going to be a hot summer! Be aware of these signs of heatstroke in your pets to help keep them safe. And, if you suspect your pet might be experiencing heat stroke, seek veterinary care immediately!

  1. Lethargy, weakness, staring expression
  2. Excessive panting
  3. Sticky or dry tongue
  4. Bright red gums / tongue
  5. High fever / rapid heartbeat
  6. Bloody stools or vomiting
  7. Staggering, collapse, seizures
